I’m so glad it’s almost the weekend. I really need to sleep in.
I’ve been dealing with some sister in law issues since this past xmas, and hopefully things got resolved tonight. She’s been pretty snitty to me for absolutely no reason while I’ve been nothing but nice to her. I won’t get into it just because I’m so bloody freaking tired of the whole mess, but basically what it boils down to is that she has acted in a very rude & insulting manner towards me upon numerous occassions, in our own house, as well as out in public, and not only hurt my feelings, but also led me to believe that she just doesn’t like me. I’ve never had alot of family, and so, when we got married, I was very excited and happy to finally have a “sister”–her recent behavior has really been upsetting to me, especially since I did not want to cause “waves” or disruptions within the family. Let me mention that this did not prevent her from asking us when she wanted or needed something from us, which seemed to me to be salt in the wound. Anyway-Craig spoke with her tonight, and she apologized, to him. We’ll see what happens.
I really need to work on cleaning off my desk this weekend. It’s a total mess. Books and papers everywhere. Bah. Not very conducive to writing! I’ve got to get back to work on my zombie “love story”, as Craig is chomping at the bit to get writing on the script. I also wanna write a few articles on working with the elements for here.
Today, creativity was like this elusive animal that would only let me get so close before bounding away into the underbrush. *makes a face* I am right now looking at five rough drafts of the same poem that I began this morning, and just couldn’t get “right.” Blah. It also didn’t help that I felt edgy and restless, wanting only to be outside in the woods, free.
Our anniversary is Monday the 31st, btw. Married for 2 whole years! Wow. It seems like longer….in a good way of course! *g* We had talked about going to Toronto for the weekend, but decided to stay home instead, and just go out to dinner Monday night since we very recently went to Niagara Falls, CA for the weekend, and stayed at the new Fallsview Casino and Resort. It was awesome! We had a blast! We had a fabulous room facing the Falls, and it’s pretty much all windows, so the view is phenom. Craig played blackjack, and I played the slots–we did okay, breaking even more or less. They also have a wonderful grand buffet there with the most yummiest food, breakfast especially. We managed as well to sneak in some time away from the casino and visit the Butterfly Conservatory, which was really cool.
Hope yer weekend rocks socks!
