Okay. Not feeling well, so here’s the lowdown…I hope it’s more or less coherent. I just took a darvocet.
Wednesday night-I’d gotten in touch with some old friends from years ago, and had decided to start attending their shamanism class. I got to meet some of the folks in their coven, really nice people, and I felt really comfortable. It felt really good. I’m going back this coming Wednesday. 🙂
Thursday night-I crashed my compy with the Aurora virus. I tried to fix it myself by uninstalling the stuff it had jammed in there when Craig came up to crate Bishy. He thought it was cute that I was trying to fix it myself-he’s had to reformat my compy two previous times in order to “fix” things I botched up with viruses and whatnot, and he is never happy to hear when the compy is acting all wonky. Anyway, he’s trying to fix it right now, before giving up and reformating again. Thank the Gods, we have his compy & the server for storage, or we’d both be bonkers. My comp is about 8 years old, and I’m running Windows 2000, I think. Craig is gonna build me a new compy for Yule-I’ll use it for my graphics work, writing, and gaming, and my old crappy compy for research and surfing. That way it won’t matter too much if I pick up a virus on the older comp-and there won’t be anything saved on there, so nothing to lose or corrupt.
Ah. Friday-Got caught in a huge traffic jam on my way to work, stuck sitting at the light at Culver and University for at least ten minutes, and as a result, was four minutes late to work. I am NEVER late to work. I can’t be. I have to open the main lobby. I was furious, and completely stressed. I was yelling at the guys in the van in front of me-I’m sure they thought I was completely insane.
And then probably because I’ve been so stressed lately, tonight I have come down with the worst strained neck. I can’t move my head up or down, or to the right. I’m also having an RA flare in my left thumb that’s been raging since the beginning of the last weekend, and not really improving, and I’m also starting to feel it in my right wrist and left elbow. Did I mention I took a darvocet tonight? Argh.
We were going to go to the movies tonight to see The Descent, but after dinner out at the Winfield (fish fries), we just kinda felt like hanging at home. We’ll go to the movies tomorrow instead.
I decided to throw the new Meebo widget in my sidebar, as well as the Flickr widget, something I’d been meaning to do anyway. Check out my pics, I’ll have some more up as soon as I’m back on my compy-I’m not sure how to access our server from Craig’s comp. Also, be sure to try out the Meebo chat if you catch me online!
