Yep. Another one almost gone, and I still have laundry to do. *makes a face*
Friday night we went to see “The Descent’ at Cinemark Tinseltown, and were very happily surprised to see that Cinemark is offering a (more or less) childfree policy on Friday & Saturday nights! The policy is as follows, straight from the Cinemark site;
“Note: No one under the age of 17 will be permitted into this theater on Friday & Saturday evenings after 6pm, unless accompanied by their legal parent. Parents MUST stay and watch the same movie with their child on those evenings. Also, no child under the age of 17 will be permitted into any R-rated feature, unless accompanied by their legal parent. A valid picture ID may be required and tickets may be checked at the door. In addition, no child under the age of 6 will be permitted into any R-Rated feature after 6pm. ”
Yay! *happydance* We were thrilled to see less kids there! It was not noisy at all, and there was no rowdinesss in the theatre either, which has been an issue before for us in the past. We’ve left movies because kids have been too loud & obnoxious during the film, and had more or less decided we’d just attend early afternoon matinees to avoid any further unenjoyable experiences. This was sooo nice though, I think we might start going to the movies on Friday & Saturday nights again.
We also went out to dinner at Flaherty’s in Webster-OMG, they have the BEST lobster bisque!! Of course, since then Craig has been making “man bisque” jokes, which while extremely funny, is kinda gross, and probably something I should have kept to myself. *cutegrin*
Saturday, we spent most of the afternoon cleaning house and doing yardwork. Everything got done, we didn’t want to have to do anything today. We had dinner at Friendlys, with ice cream sundaes after. We had rented some movies Friday, and so after dinner came home, got in comfies and watched “Brick,” which I had been very impatiently waiting for. It kicked ass!!
This morning I made an awesome breakfast for us-scrapple & scrambled eggs with toast. Yumm. It smelled like Sunday morning at Mom’s in my kitchen. *sniff* I still can’t get the scrapple to turn out like hers-instead of retaining it’s shape, I think I’m flipping it too early, and it’s making a huge mess of it, breaking it all apart. Craig says I need a bigger pan, or maybe try using two pans. He might be right. We watched a shitty zombie movie while we ate, and then after playing with the dog a little, Craig went up to take a nap, and I sat down here at his compy-I really needed to get caught up on stuff. Not having my compy sucks ass.
Craig needs to reformat the entire thing-argh. I think I may have mentioned that in a previous post. After I get done here catching up with stuff, I need to go upstairs and save all the stuff I don’t want to lose. Hopefully, I’ll be back online very soon!
Tonight for dinner I’m making roast turkey breast with stuffing & gravy, and some sort of veggie. Also making apple crisp for desert. We haven’t really been cooking meals because it’s been so hot, but now that it’s cooling off, I’m getting the cooking bug again.
We’ve been watching Hell’s Kitchen with Gordon Ramsey this season, and it’s hysterical. I never would have thought I’d be into a show like that but it’s really good-Gordon is the best!! Then, we found another show of his on BBC America-Nightmare Kitchen, which is also awesome. I love when he curses at people in his impeccable Brit accent. Anyway, the HK finale is Monday,and so we’ll be Tivo-ing it as we’re going to Buffalo Bills practice!!
A friend of mine at work gave me the tickets, and Craig was really pysched, so that’s cool. *clueless smile* I wouldn’t know a Bill if he was sitting on my lap, but oh well-I’m excited for Craig. We’ll take the digital, and hopefully get some cool pics, and stuff. Should be really neat.
Hope everyone is having a fab weekend!
Oh, I’ve added some new links as well as some new pics to My Flickr-check ’em out! I’ll be adding some more recent pics within the next couple weeks, promise!
