Today was spent watching movies, and taking the dog out to pee about a zillion times. It might be an understatement to say that I tried not to exert myself. *g* Annnnywaaaay, today’s agenda consisted of two chick flicks, both IMO, very worthwhile rentals!
A Lot Like Love stars Ashton Kutchner and Amanda Peet in a romantic comedy about two people that just can’t seem to get their timing right. On a flight from LA to NYC, Emily & Oliver make a connection, only to part uncertain of their feelings & what it all means. Over the next seven years, they are reunited time and time again, their friendship growing closer & closer. Very cute film, and Ashton looks yummy as usual. Light & breezy, this would make a great movie for Girls’ Night! A definate recommend!!
Little Black Book features Brittany Murphy, Holly Hunter, & Ron Livingston in a comedic look at what happens when temptation & curiosity overpower faith & trust. Murphy plays Stacy, an assistant producer on a Jerry Springer-like talkshow whose boyfriend (Derrick played by Livingston) is unwilling to discuss previous relationships. When Derrick leaves town on business, Stacy, with the help of her co-worker Barb (Hunter), snoops through his Palm Pilot, opening a huge can of worms involving three ex-girlfriends and a scandalous surprise. I really enjoyed this movie. Despite it’s genre, this film takes a risk with it’s unpredicable ending, happily straying from the expected. Again, another film that would make a great choice for Girls’ Night, I wholeheartedly recommend this rental!!
