I blogged every day in November, and it’s been down hill ever since.
I’m still fighting the flu virus, going on like 6 weeks now, I think. I stopped taking my RA meds several weeks ago to give my immune system a fighting chance, and while I’m slowly inching my way outta mucus-land (lovely term, that!), now I’m dealing with painful, inflamed joints and an energy level that’s one or two steps up from dead. At least I have most of my voice back now, so that’s something.
Despite feeling yucky, the job search must go on, and it did. I sent out a ton of resumes by email, and have had a few interviews over the last week or so. I don’t wanna jinx myself, so I’m not going to discuss any of this in depth, but I have a couple of good bites and another interview scheduled for tomorrow.
Mostly though, I’ve just been hanging around the house, trying to get better.
My birthday is this Saturday, and while we don’t have huge plans, I’m still looking forward to it. We’re going out to eat, and then we’re going to Barnes & Nobles to spend my birthday money. *grindrool* Book shopping. *nods* Oh yeahhhh. Also, maybe some movies. I’d like to get “The Descent” and “Snakes on a Plane.”
Also on the agenda, we’ll be watching “Crank”, “The Night Listener”, and “The Illusionist.” I’ll be sure to throw some reviews up ASAP.
One movie I’m wicked excited about is Pan’s Labyrinth. It opens here January 19th, and looks absolutely, amazingly beautiful. Nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Foreign Language Film, “Pan’s Labyrinth” is a sort of gothic fairytale set against the post war oppression of Franco’s Spain. Check out the website-you’ll wanna see this film too. *nods*
